District Local Preachers SecretaryHello! I’m Gill Dascombe the District Local Preachers’ Secretary. I work as a Hospital Pharmacist for Pennine Care NHS Trust in Ashton-under-Lyne. I have been a Local Preacher since 1987 in the Hazel Grove and Poynton Circuit, during which time I have been Circuit LP secretary and ‘Faith and Worship’ tutor. I love all aspects of being a Local Preacher, but my special interests include the creative use of prayer and music in worship, narrative preaching, and the leading of retreats and quiet days.

District TutorI’m Bob Bartindale, and I’ve recently taken up the role of “District Tutor”, aiming to assist Gill Dascombe in supporting the training and development of those who lead worship in our district. I’ve been a local preacher since 1998, and it’s been an amazing privilege to lead worship and encourage people week by week to listen to God’s word for them. My particular priority is in encouraging and equipping God’s people for the mission we’re all part of, and especially in exploring the vital message of scripture for today. By profession I’m an electrical engineer but since 2009, I have worked full time as Lay Pastor at Bramhall Methodist Church.
