Day 7Stretford & Urmston Circuit
The Stretford & Urmston Circuit is a compact and close-knit fellowship of four churches. As well as Sunday worship and devotional meetings, we maintain a range of activities for all ages at circuit level, and we use the old Gorse Hill Church building as a centre for community outreach, and as a home for two of the independent churches hosted by our Circuit.
We continue to explore new initiatives under the leadership of Rev. Ian Kemp, and are currently looking into the possibility of sponsoring a refugee family through the Home Office Syrian Resettlement Programme. As we seek God's guidance, we pray that in all our endeavours he will enable us to share with those around us his love made manifest in Jesus.
Something to give thanks for:
We give thanks for the ongoing Christian witness in the Gorse Hill district of Stretford, through the work of members and friends of the Circuit, and the independent churches who now worship there. We are privileged that God has shown us a way of bringing new life out of the closure of the old church, and pray that he will continue to use our resources as a blessing to the community in Gorse Hill.
