The Salford Circuit is built up of six churches, including urban, suburban, and rural areas.  Whilst there is some really good work happening around the circuit, in reality there are parts of the circuit where mission and outreach are more challenging. The circuit held an evening exploring the theme of ‘welcome’ and how best we can welcome people into church, but especially how our buildings can be made a welcoming space for all. To help with this, the circuit has offered each church a grant. Some churches have taken up this offer and through making some small changes have already enhanced the welcome!

Give thanks for:

The encouraging ways in which some churches seek to serve the community in some deprived areas of Salford.

A more strengthened fellowship across the circuit;

The discovery of new or unused gifts that people have

Renewed hope in some parts of the circuit

The appointment of a part time Circuit Administrator Patricia Gondongwe

Please pray for:

Concerns about the future of churches and whether they are viable or not.

That we will continue to find new ways of being circuit and church;

New initiatives that could be explored around the circuit;

A renewed enthusiasm for all churches to engage in real mission;

One lay post to be advertised – an additional Lay Pastoral Assistant.

Loving Lord,

You are with us in every moment of our lives. May we always remember your deep compassion, presence, and abounding love. We thank you for the gifts, talents and skills with which you have blessed us with to serve you more fully. Amen
