"And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near." – Hebrews 10:25
This verse has been highly influential in developing my vision for my role. I believe that mutual encouragement and empowerment are important in any role, but especially in a community such as ours where we are all striving for the same common goal – working for God's kingdom. For me, that sense of meeting together and encouragement extends to our connecting together online and I hope that feeling extends to you also.
I've taken time to develop a District social media presence on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and am going to continue to develop these over the coming months. Of course, I'm developing other methods of communication alongside this but I see these platforms as a central hub for us to connect with each other and stay up to date with things that are going on within our churches and circuits.
I'd be hugely appreciative if you could take a couple of minutes to click on the attached poster and connect with our social media channels – either by scanning the QR codes with a smartphone camera, which will take you to our pages, or by typing in our username @mandsmethodists on each platform.
As always, if you have any feedback or if there's anything you'd like to discuss, please don't hesitate to be in touch.
