Safeguarding
M&SMD acknowledges that sometimes safeguarding may not be seen as being as important as other activities within our church communities. But, if we are called to be disciples of Jesus Christ, we must follow His example, in actively demonstrating love and care for those who are broken, wounded, abused, ostracised or denied a voice. Thus, safeguarding is placed firmly at the heart of the mission and ministry of the church and is everybody’s responsibility.
As we strive to develop a healthy safeguarding culture throughout the District, we recognise that our Church is only as strong and effective as the people who dedicate their time, energy and enthusiasm to work with and serve others, either within ministry, lay or volunteer roles. This section of the District website provides you with a range of policies, resources and information to support you in this vital role.
