NTC has been based in Didsbury, south Manchester, for over 60 years. In that time, we’ve nurtured a learning community with one aim: to prepare our students for innovative Christian ministry. The academic qualifications and personal experiences you take from your time here will, we hope, be just the start of a lifelong journey. With flexible or full time study at vocational, certificate, undergraduate and postgraduate levels, we have something for everyone.

We are a learning community that encourages students to explore the deep places of faith, and challenges them to consider how their lives can make a difference, both now and in the future. At NTC, you’ll learn alongside others in an environment rich in pastoral support and genuine care. As a result, it’s a place where the seeds of life-long friendships are planted and faith is free to flourish. From many nations, cultures, contexts and churches, we learn alongside each other. Our diverse experience enriches us, enabling us to question and wrestle with issues of life and faith.

NTC is a validated partner college of the University of Manchester. This means that our courses are designed and taught to the same high academic standards and that the degree you earn will bear the name of both the College and the University of Manchester. The College is also home to the Manchester Wesley Research Centre, Bridging Worlds: Centre for East and Southeast Asian Christianity and the Manchester Centre for the Study of Christianity and Islam. These centres provide an attractive option for postgraduate study and research, attracting Christian educators, leaders and thinkers from around the world.

Alongside our University of Manchester validated degree courses, there are several ways to study on a short-term or casual basis, including Manchester Bible School and NTC Online. Whether it’s a single class that interests you or a selection of classes over a longer period, the opportunity to engage in higher education, ministry preparation or personal and professional development as part of a learning community is yours. With options for full- and part-time study, online or on-campus, NTC is the perfect place to explore faith and practice, to be equipped for ministry and mission for the 21st century, and to deepen knowledge and understanding on a range of current themes and issues.
