Lay Pastoral Assistant

Part-Time: 20 hours per week

Salary: £13,447.20 per annum £12.93per hour

Term: Permanent

Salford Circuit has a clear strategy for focusing energy and resources in parts of the circuit with the potential for missional development, and this post is a key component in this strategy. We are seeking a responsible, caring and resourceful person, to be based at the Salford, Irlam of the Heights and Monton section of the circuit, who will offer pastoral care for the congregations of three churches: Emmanuel Church, The Height Methodist Community Church; and Monton Methodist Church. It is a requirement for the postholder to be a Christian and a regular practising member of a congregation.

Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be involved pastorally in visiting and supporting the people of these churches in a variety of ways, and work alongside the Circuit Superintendent in this area of responsibility.

Chapel in the Fields Project Leader

 Project Leader – the Chapel in the Fields.

Closing Date: 30 November 2023

The management group of the Chapel in the Fields is seeking expressions of interest from creative people, lay or ordained, who may feel inspired by the idea of leading the project. The appointment will be made for a five year period from June 2024 and there will be an application and selection process between December 2023 and February 2024. At this point, we invite anyone who is interested to get in touch with us to learn more about the project and the possibilities for the role of project leader so as to be able to make a meaningful application. An outline of what we do and hope to do is set out in the document below.
