We give thanks for the appointment of a new lay worker, Eliza Ho. We pray for Eliza and for the opportunities there will be in the circuit. We give thanks for the work being done to prepare the circuit to become an eco-circuit.
We continue to pray for Rosehill Methodist Academy – for the staff, children, parents and carers. We pray for the chaplain Rev Rob Balfour and for the ways the circuit can support and build links with the school. We give thanks for the introduction of a circuit Toy Library at the school and the development of brick church.
We give thanks for the Warm Spaces initiative that many of the churches were able to host and for new friendships formed. We give thanks for continuing and growing work amongst the repair cafe, wild life gardens, work in the communities and for signs of new growth.
We face times of challenge in different areas, and know the issues many churches are facing.
Loving God, we seek to be your people, open to your Spirit, responsive to your calling, willing to let go of what no longer speaks of you and ready to accept the challenge of embracing ways where you hope to lead us. Help us to journey together, in our ups and downs, hold us in your love, and encourage us when we feel downcast and disheartened. May your peace be our hope and strength. Amen.
